I've wanted to start a bike project for the past few years, but my '82 xs650 really was a bit much for me to tackle. It only had 150 miles on it, but had been sitting outside since '83 without a seat and in our fine NW Ohio weather. I gave up on the dream and decided to give the bike to a friend with an identical project to use it for spare parts. I guess no good deed goes unnoticed... This spring I found a 1980 CB750 for just under $1000 and a 1972 CB450 for $200.

I only made a few changes to the CB750 so far. I really wanted to keep one in riding condition while I work on the other. I see a lot more potential in the 450 so I wanted to tackle it first. I have a small machine shop and hope to make some big changes to it in the next few weeks.

Thanks triumphrider74, This is my first go at bike restoration, and custom work for myself. I have fabricated parts for other people in my shop before, but I've never designed a whole project before. I have all the tools ill need, now I just have to start playing.

Cool projects! 8)

Above all, have fun! ;D
