Yeah I saw some beautiful machines at Barber, got way two many ideas....now I have the Bobber and a Cafe build going...I should have more pics next week mod'ing the front end a bit and ordering my oil tank this weekend
I am searching for an exhaust for this bike that runs both pipes off high left then radius bends down to follow the lines of the bottom end. Any ideas?
Looks good so far! Have you mocked it up with any wheels yet? I think a big ol balloney tire like the Firestones or Avon Mk II's would balance out the leaf spring.
I have an A65 myself. I looked all over for exhaust choices for my bike. I didn't come across any like the ones you decribed. You're thinking something like the WCC LBC pipes, 'cept on the left? Naw, nothin out there like that for BSA's. The nearest thing that comes to mind are the left side high pipes from The Factory Metal Works.
Heres the link. http://www.thefactorymetalworks.com/PhotoGallery.asp?ProductCode=tfmwbsahl
If those won't do, give Lucas at The Factory a call. He'll bend you up some custom stainless pipes. You won't be disappointed. They make top notch stuff for brit bikes and the customer service is awesome.
Lucas and Co. do some fantastic work. A friend of mine has loanned them a Trackmaster road racing and a TM flat track frame for unit Triumphs and BSAs to copy. I think they hope to have them available soon.
Thanks for the exhaust info, and yes and going with Avon's on this. 16" rear laced to stock hub and 19" front with dual leading shoe hub and break set up. I should have the wheels on it in the next week or so. waiting on getting those back from powder.
hate to be a pain...but if you're running the axle behind the pivot point, you've got your leaf spring upside down.. for reference, check out the pic of the beezer chop on page two.
