Hi, I'm in Toronto and I have a 1979 CX500, half cafe-converted, that was on the road up to December. It needs a new water pump seal and a radiator drain plug that I snapped the head off of while doing a flush ($7). Has had the ugly-ass fairings removed, replaced with bucket headlight and mid-70s CB speedo/tach, and rear fairing replaced with a chrome fender. I've taken the bars/signals from it for my current daily driver, but I have tons of extras I can throw in with it. The seal is the only real issue and it's beyond me to change it. I'd go as low as $500 in light of the seal and just to get it out of my way cluttered shed.

Also, bought a 1969 CL450 and it came with extras, also cluttering the shed. Selling the frame, rear wheel and a box of parts (including extra side covers, mirror, battery box and wiring harness) for $150. Or would possibly trade it for some light carb work and troubleshooting help with the complete one, or parts I need.

So get at me here or at crossfire13 at yahoo dot com. Thanks.

Sorry all, I'm just seeing this, way late. Saucer, sorry dude but the wheel is gone. And 71, yes I have a headlight bucket for the CL. PM/email me if you still need it. I'm really looking to sell the lot of CL frame/parts for $150 obo but I'm open to whatever. I was about to post this on Craigslist but I'll give you boys a few days headstart on it in case any DTT'ers are looking for the following, drop me a line. Would negotiate trades too, if anyone has 69 CL450-compatible tank or starter controls.

I just have the one on the tank I'm using. Would gladly give it up if you had a spare tank but then if you did you'd probably use that cap, right? Do you have any spare parts? I'm looking for mufflers, starter switch/control, another gas tank, few other things.

I'll take the CB650 parts bike. I'm in Toronto downtown also. Give a call at 416-557-5051 and I'll drop by today.

Thanks,
Kemp

Re: 69 CL450 (Frame/Parts) & CB Parts

OK, CB650 is spoken for. All the rest above still up for grabs. And please let me know if you're in TO and have a CL450 tank or starter control for sale or trade. Thanks. - Chris

I have a set of pretty nice stock mufflers just sitting around. Came off bike with less than 3500 miles on it

OK, so both the 650 and the 450 are gone to loving homes (thanks Kemp & Saucer!) and I'm good for the CL parts I needed. Still have lots of the listed CB parts so let me know if you're looking. Thanks.
