'71 CB 750, first bike, first build.

I installed the front tire myself but the tube wouldn't hold air, I must have pinched it during the installation. Rather than fighting it, I took the wheels to the local honda dealer and let them mount and balance the tires. painted the wheels because they were pretty rough. installed the new brake pads and shoes. Surprisingly everything works well, not bad for a bike newb.

painted wheel pics w/ new tires!

Wheels look good! Don't worry about the tube, I don't think most guys change their own tires. Some do, but probably also have access to a good machine.

Plus 1 for what Coyote said...
Ive had bikes for 4 decades, I take my wheels to the shop for mount and balance.
Pinched tubes, bloody knuckle, and time wasted is worth the 20 bucks exchange.

Awesome looking 750 BTW.

thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback and support.

Had a good old school bike mechanic walk me through a valve adjustment and carb sync on my bike. Had fun learning how, hope I remember for when it needs done the next time.

gonna try out some shorter shocks soon (borrowed from a friend). these 13"+ eye to eye progressives are too tall for me, can't reach the ground comfortably.
