71 cb175 HID info needed

Looking to upgrade my lighting, since i cant see anything at night with this weak headlamp. I cant seem to find much info on this subject. I want to keep a stock sealed beam look but with HID lamp. Anyone have any info? i can find plenty of HID conversion kits but not much on the lamp housing itself. much appreciated.

I used a fog light housing from a land rover with a h3 35 watt bulb conversion. I used one of the motorcycle conversion kits with the mini ballasts. I extended the wiring to the bulb so I could tuck the ballast under my seat.

The cb175 watt bulb is 25/35 I believe. That may be an issue keeping the HID lit with the stock charging system.

The only issue is that the beam pattern isn't great. It lights up the road a hell of allot better than the stock bulb, but sometimes I feel like I'm annoying the crap out of people ahead of me. I'd try to stay away from housings with the flutes, they cause the light to really scatter.

Hey,

Thought I would reply to this thread since it has someone that had done a HID conversion. I have a CB350 and have new head light assembly, but need to get the conversion kit. Where can I find the right conversion kick for this kind of bike?

If it's an H4 bulb any H4 HID Kit will work for a car or bike

Try www.ddmtuning.com

Thanks for the link to the website. I guess my next questions are.

1: What type of bulb should I be getting? The housing on my light case say 12v 35w/35w and HID light say H4 12v 60/55w. So do I need to get a H4 bulb?

2: Should I have a Hi/Lo beam HID for a CB350? I only question this because I'm unsure if it would be a 12v 35/35w bulb that is drawing out 35w while on high or if it would be a 12v 35/??w mystery that would totally zap my battery if I ever ran it with a high beam. I guess I'm asking the people that have a single bulb and not the Hi/Lo bulb, if the single bulb does just as good as a job?

Hope that second part wasn't too confusing. Just want to make sure I get the right kit.

-Cheers
