'71 CB350 Build Cafe or Brat??

Well guys I have been bitten by metric build pretty hard, and I blame this site for this addition!! :-* I just picked up another project.

Ok enough about that, I am not sure of where to go with this. I want to do a brat style as this bike is for the wife. She said she likes the way the brat style looks but I am not sure of where to put the battery with this style? Can anyone shed some light on that? I would like to run battery less, I was going to run straight LEds and keep the old school spedo.

Let me know your thoughts on battery less or where to hide the battery with the brat style?

If I can do that then I will build it into a cafe racer.

Here she is

Still new to this whole thing, but from what I have researched... there are a handful of things (which I won't act like I know) that you must do in order to run without a battery. Again, from what I researched, you may end up with performing multiple kick-starts just to build up enough juice to get your bike going. There is a work-around that I have seen, and that is buying a small (yet very expensive) slim battery that can be hidden in plain sight. Check out this link:

Hope this helps!!!

Thanks for the link, that helps a lot! I am not good at electronics so this build will be a challenge for me for sure.

Will the system pull off of that battery when the engine is not at the RPM needed to run the lights and sucH

anyone have any goo drinks or links to their builds with these batteries?

thanks for the reply

Chris

I will be following some suggestions in that thread for sure

Do a forum search for what you are looking for. I seariously doubt that any questions you may have that has not been asked (and answered). Maybe "kickstart only", "cb350 wiring diagrams"...found this thread to get you started.
