Hey how's it goin, I recently bought this starter switch from Dime City http://www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-racer-caferacer-bobber-brat-chopper-custom-motorcycle-electronic-parts-black-handlebar-mounted-headlight-on-off-starter-switch-12-0203.html
I Hooked it all up as it should be (or so I think anyway) and everytime I turn the key to the "on" position the fuse blows. Any Idea what could be causing this?
That is the same exact switch I used in my build you can view below this comment... I ran all new custom wiring and built my own harness so my "colors" aren't going to match yours but I have the factory manual with wiring diagram and I can help you with that if you can tell me which switch wires you've connected to the harness wires. I think I still have the switch diagram so I wont need that.
I connected the two leading from the "starter" and then the two leading from the "kill switch" and that's all. I didnt know what to connect the kill switch too so I connected it to what the Wiring Diagram called the "Dimmer Switch" assuming that was the same thing.
I am running kick start only so I just checked and I do not have the blue green black and brown connected. I think the dimmer is for the high/low beam? I'm not really sure. I thought I could check it quick but that is not the case. I will have to look it over again when I get home... Someone else may be able to help also.. I will try to respond this afternoon.
