Can't wait to see the latest version. Have you thought about making carbon fiber copies of the stock side covers/oil tank? Might make a for a tidy upgrade.

Thanks Teazer, means a lot to have my work appreciated.
That's been a thought, I've been meaning to get over to Atlanta to learn from Bobby Costello. That man can lay fiber and CF with the best production houses.
That being said, I'll probably reserve the CF for another build. Trying to stick to a reinterpretation of "period correct" on this one. CF is just too pretty to paint over.
I did side covers in CF on the Phat Trakka and was able to move them in and forward to keep the stock look but in a different place.
If you were feeling funky, you could mask off "CB350RR" or whatever and paint the rest of the side cover and then clear it to leave a CF logo on the side- that way you get a stock look from a distance and Holy Sh*t reactions when people get up close and see what you did.
Another example of that is the tank on the P/T. It is "stock" but has a modern flat filler and the space at the front of the tank has been filled in. From a distance it looks stock and closer up people realize it is very different. Subtle is always fun.
