Thanks guys... After several e-mails he showed up Sunday and I let him take her for a ride down the road and back. I could hear her the whole way down to the corner, about 3/4 of a mile. Once he made the turn around and was heading back I could tell he was really "wringing it out". As he was coming down the drive I could see him smile even with a full face helmet on!
Money is always good, wife is happy... but now I feel a little "empty". All because I need to get a vehicle to get to work this winter. Guess I need to buy some stuff for the Zook and loose myself in finishing up that build.
hey everyone! im the one that bought the "lil sister". i loved it from the first time i rode it! plans include stripping her down, some powdercoating on parts and paint on the tank and side covers, a 4 to 1 exhaust with the k and n pods, some rejetting and new shocks to top it off! i will keep pictures posted as i go through the process. cant wait for it to be done and be april!
Thank You very much! the hardest part is going to be getting the exhaust made in italy and having it come to me and finding the right jet sizes to use...but other than that the bike is in super read condition...here is a little preview of the work me and my father do, this bike was pulled out of a dumpster, that is about 5 months of work on restoring it. it is a 1973 suzuki gt550 two stroke triple!
Holey cow! How did those 3 big letters get in the oil? Oh well... At least they came out when you drained it, bet she will run even better without them in the crankcase!
hahah, i didnt even see that..theres a renthal banner hanging on the wall that got the reflection off the oil! That was only about 3 hours worth of work. sending out for powdercoating within the next 2 weeks and i am having a very cool color for the paint (not saying what the color is juuust yet!) so hopefully by the first of the year itll be going back together!
