72 cl350 "old 96er" because I am in over my head

this all started because I was wanting to pull off everything that the bike did not need and ended up with this:

oops! I have always wanted to paint the frame, but I didn't think I would end up in Big Arse Projects. After many hours of scrubbing and wire brushing here is the frame freshly painted Wimbledon White.

Sorry for the poor pic quality all I had handy was my blackberry. I am going with a off white and copper(or Champagne) color scheme. This will be a slow project but I will have a lot of questions because this is my first bike build. Thanks

While I am waiting for my new swing arm bushings to arrive I was looking into what shocks to get. I was wanting to lower the bike alittle, but was wondering what you guys thought was a good shock and tire size combo. My wheels are 19's (it feels so 1996 getto to say it that way). Thanks
