Been Around the Block
Here she is, I had a build thread I started a years or so ago. I really lost my focus late last fall, it got pretty cold quickly last year and the garage seemed like the last place I wanted to hang out. Between family, work and whatever else time passed quickly and I finally figured out how to balance everything and got back out into the garage and dug right in. Cleaned the carbs set the timing and got her up and running.
Here is where I started. I originally was storing the bike for a friend while he was moving and lacking garage space. I ended up taking her off his hands for $200. Not a bad deal, hadn't run or been titled in years, but I figured I was up for the challenge.

I did the usual clubman's and relocated the headlight.

Picked up some shorty mufflers from a friend of mine, I really like the look on the CL pipes.

I had a friend of mine, who is a fabricator, help me whip up my seat. It's made from the stock seat pan and a spare tank that had come with the bike. I have since ditched the seat and made my own fiberglass seat, those pics will be down further.

Picked up a taillight from the old ebay and mounted it "temporarily" to the seat. I cannot stress how temporary the light was mounted to the seat

After it fell off on a short trip around the neighborhood.

Hey, great idea let work on some wiring or as I like to call it. "Break the headlight bucket"

I then proceeded to snap the bolt off the back of the speedo. At this point I am starting to wonder what I will be breaking next.

I had some hopes of pulling the old bolt out of the speedo, with no real luck. I used a hacksaw to cut the band around the speedo assembly. Pried the band lose, and opened it up to find the bolt was epoxied in place, behind the inner workings of the speedo. Back to the drawing board with that fix.

That's where I am at right now. Work in progress. Very slow progress

Way sidetracked by a basement that needed some attention, carpet should be installed next week. Then back to the garage.
