Are you going with electric start only?
Is there clearance between your brake pedal, foot peg and the kickstarter?
Just lookin at the pics......

Nice build - keep the progress comin!

no. yes. sorta.

kick only, battery-less.
the pegs fold up. the kicker will be narrow and one off. plenty of clearance from the brake pedal...

Yet another great idea for a spring compressor. Looks good, but I think you might need some bracing on that end-plate? Looks a tad vulnerable to flex.

cheers

I'm liking that kick-start, esp. the patina. How do you find it? (yeah, I know. you look down and there t is!)

Re: 72 CL450 - "CatcH-23"

well..... didnt get that much accomplished this weekend, but i guess we could touch base on the shiz i did a while ago and didnt photograph....

a while back i welded in the rear hoop. recently ive been working on the seat mounting points and electronics brackets. this weekend i trimmed the tail and moved to the front of the bike. i ordered some cb550 forks and shaved them. i also started modifying a vintage Ceriani steering dampener made for a HD. last of all late last night i mocked up a new exhaust bracket.

see if you can see the diff from the first and second pic. i was skeptical about trim the tail so high, but i think it turned out nice...

The upsweep on the hoop/tail is perfect. It blends well with the relatively sharp drop on the rear of the tank.

Now that sentiment I understand, but it will be worth the wait when you have a finished custom ride tailored to your personality, like only you can do!
