'73 CL175 Upper Fork Covers/Headlight Ears on '74 CB360

Anyone done/tried this? I have a perfectly suitable donor front end, but I really don't want to tear the whole front end off of the 175 only to find out it won't work on my CB360. If anyone has tried this, please offer me your insight.

I want to use the following parts from each bike to combine and make one complete front end.

CL175 - Upper Triple Clamp, Fork Covers/Headlight Ears/Gaitors

CB360 - Everything from the Lower Triple Clamp/Stem down.
(Headlight, fork legs, brake setup, wheel, etc.)

Thanks in advance,
Garrett

not going to happen. im fairly sure, '73 175 is 31mm and all 360's are 33mm forks. so the holes in the clamps and ears and such are different sizes. BUT if there is enough material on the parts with small holes, you could enlarge the holes to 33mm. unfortunately i do not think there is enough material to do that.

Thanks for the info!

Do you know if I nixed the use of the top clamp and just used the fork covers/headlight ears and gaitors if it would work?

the holes would still be the wrong size. the gaitors might stretch? if you can make the holes bigger. it might work. also, the forks from the 360 are about 2 inches taller then the 175. the covers might not be tall enough to cover all that you want. not real sure.
