I'm looking at a bike that has been sitting for the owner says at least 20 years. From what little I have found so far about them they didn't have the best engines. If I could get it for next to nothing do ya think it would be ridable without doing an overhaul? The owner says he kicked it over every year and it kicks over now... With that said if it doesn't work too well I was wondering if a tx650 engine would fit in the frame? Anyone know?

Any advice you could give me on the TX750's links or forums would be appreciated.

Thanks.

There actually a pretty solid motor as long as you don't over rev them or let the counter weight drive chain get sloppy.
I had brought one back from the dead (stuck motor) with just a generous amount of penetrating fluid and a socket on the rotor.

The 650 motor will Not just drop in, Totally different frame.
