74 CL450 Bent Forks.... need help

Been Around the Block
Hey all.... So a buddy came over to help with a few things on the bike last night, one being the apparent slight wonkiness of the front end.... At the end of the day it became clear that the left fork is bent (maybe the right, didn't bother measuring since the left was bad enough to see without a straight edge or anything.)

So now... after having looked through here and through the parts diagrams, I guess All I really need are the fork tubes (or 'pipes') right?

Are all those different 35mm Honda fork tubes really different? From what I've seen, the only match for the CL450 is the CB450....

Would I be better off looking for a whole CB450 front end and switch to front disc brake?

Budget is a major consideration, too.

Also, if anyone happens to have any forks/fork tubes for sale, please let me know ASAP....

Thanks all, much appreciated in advance!

I would assume your forks are not bent badly (or else you would have seen it earlier), so if they are still in OK condition (IE not rusty or pitted) you could take them to a machine shop and have them straightened for a few $$. You will need to split the forks apart to do this, but you will be doing that anyway if you buy new fork legs.

fork tubes are hard to find unless if they are the same as the cb750 tubes. or if you spend the money and get them from forks by frank.

whole forks though... super easy to find. check ebay.
