Got this bike almost 2 years ago for free from a friend of my dear mom. I honestly had no idea about these bikes, cafe bikes or anything until I was offered this bike. I was warned it hadn't ran in many years and they had no idea what was wrong with it. It had sat in a garage for the most part, but had a fair share of surface rust on the fenders and such, most of which is still in tact haha! After getting it home I found a missing chain, but most of the parts for it, a brand new starter sylinoid, a stuck engine, a stuck transmission and the last tabs dated 1980!

motor un-stuck, points adjusted, new battery and fresh gas and I had a running bike. New tires, chopping the fenders and installing clubmans and I had a good look that is really comfortable to ride. I pulled the engine and split the lower case to find a stuck shift fork, freed that and put the motor back together, new chain and I had a bike that was rideable!

First ever test ride further than just down the block!

Still need to install the turn signals, tail light and license plate, sync the carbs, replace the anchient points and clean up the exhaust, and also re-install the front fender. All in all though, she rides great, has good power and is an absolute blast! I plan to keep this thing for a looong time. Cheers!
