75 CB550 Dual front disks?

I think its a pretty easy upgrade, looks like I just need to source a wheel set that will fit, then the disk and brake assembly and a bigger master cyclinder and finish it off with some hard work. Has anyone done this and if so, am I on the right track? I'm gonna spend my holiday weekend at the MC salvage yard sourcing the parts.

same as the cb750 dual disk... even easier since you already have the speedo drive you need.

google it. been covered.

why are you doing it? dual disk is a lot of added weight, and you dont really get more stopping power; you can just be harder on the front brake and not get as much heat.

i say put on a stainless front line, rebuild caliper and master cylinder, put on new ebc pads, drill the rotor, and then decide if you still need dual disk. a single drilled rotor will be way better than a stock rotor; less rotating and sprung mass and greater cooling ability when wet.

I was planing on buying drilled out the rotors and the SS lines. I wanted as much stopping power as possible and it seemed like the logical upgrade for that. the first upgrade i do on any of my bike and cars is brakes and suspension.
