'75 CB550 Gulf colors

Like that? ;D just use the insert hyperlink button and it goes and gets it. Least it does it for me.

This whole build is just inspiring, and you sir are a genius in my book no matter what anyone else says. Awesome stuff man, just awesome.

Re: '75 CB550 - Gulf - well, that's it

ah shucks, y'all are making me blush.

Deacon, the first time I started it up, I confused the position of the choke switch (had it on, this motor hates choke). It ran like dog shit! And I didn't think to check the choke, because all I could think about was every little thing that could have gone wrong.

frogman! You are the genius! I swear I tried doing it as a link... I'm not too talented with youtube matters...

Re: '75 CB550 - Gulf - well, that's it

Thanks Frogman, I just worked my way back a couple pages to find the video and you imbed it right before I reply......perfect timing.

Sounds great Ringo! I really can't speak highly enough about your bike. It really is an inspiration to all of us.

Very nice work my friend. Everything flows so nicely. I like how you put all the importants on the top of the tree, like the on/off switch and the push button start. Nice touch.

Re: '75 CB550 - Gulf - well, that's it

Bike looks amazing as all have said. If i may say 1 thing, do you plan on lowering that front fender? It looks a wee bit high on that front wheel.
Also curious what size rims you are running?

Re: '75 CB550 - Gulf - well, that's it

Ringo, I just hate you so much!!! LOL.

That is superb my friend, it came out so nice. Is it how you envisaged at the start of it?

Truly, truly beautiful. I hope you both have lots of fun together.

Re: '75 CB550 - Gulf - well, that's it

Haha, thanks guys. Stidds, it's close to how I envisioned. Couple changes for the better I think, but yeah.

ffj, I don't really know of any way to lower it other than make some brackets to do it, and then I'd run into fitment issues trying to squeeze the bolts between the fender and bracket, and between the bracket and fork lower. I suppose I could drill new holes in the fender to mount it. But the paint and clear...headache. I do agree with you though, it's a bit high. The wheels are stock sizes, 19 front, 18 rear, both 1.85.

Re: '75 CB550 - Gulf - well, that's it

Absolutely amazing work Ringo!!! Your build is very inspiring, just makes me wish I had mine done!!

Please tell me you will be able to enjoy that thing over the next 6 months!!

Re: '75 CB550 - Gulf - well, that's it

That, sir, is the Cats Pajamas. She sounds angry, she sounds like a race bike. Again, sir, beautiful work.

Re: '75 CB550 - Gulf - well, that's it

STUNNING RINGO! Absolutely stunning! Stellar work and design! It is one of my top 3 all time favorite bikes! This bike should be in a magizine for sure, actualy it may deserve its own magizine, with only pics of this bike in it! Great job, I hope you really have time to get out and enjoy the fruits of your labor!

Re: '75 CB550 - Gulf - well, that's it

I have to agree with Brother Brandon, compared to a lot of bikes I have seen in magazines lately yours deserves its own magazine! Very well done build Brother Ringo!
