Is it WAY too much work to fit a CB750a engine into a CB360 frame?

OK sounds silly, but I'm just wondering cause there's a cheap engine for sale.

OK so them realistically, what's the biggest engine that will fit.

CB550 - ?
DRZ400S thumper - ?
CB550T - ?

I don't need answers like "With enough money anything's possible"

so things like "The 750 engine is too wide for the chain to fit within the 360 frame" that helps which is likely.

So what engine swaps have folks done on the 360 then?

thanks guys, you've been great so far.

The CB750A engine is not desirable at all even if you were swapping it into another CB750

If I'm not mistaken, the 750 motor is too tall and too wide for that frame.

Which leads to the saying "with enough money anything is possible". You could modify the frame to handle that big of a motor but then, why not build a whole new frame.

If you want a 750, buy a 750.

DRZ400 would be about biggest and best.
Should be quite easy as it's a pretty small motor.
You will need all the electrics though

750a is very desirable for drag racing.

measure the motor and then measure the frame
if you are capable of making mounts, modifying the frame and getting the right chain line in a safe and useable way then go for it.
But im willing to bet that if you have to ask and internet site it might be alittle over your head at this point, its ok we all start some place but dont bite off more then you can chew.

Also is a 360 a pressed frame like the 350?
if so its a bad idea as the racers of 350s think the frame sucks

To fit a 750 motor in 360
Cut away everything below steering head to swing arm pivot, split frame lengthwise and widen it
Get a wider swing arm then fabricate a new lower cradle.
Trying to fit a 23" wide 20+" long, 212lbs motor in a frame designed for a 13" x 15" 105lbs (?) motor isn't impossible, but, it isn't going to be easy
