77 CB550F front end swaps?

Well, I've been hacking at my 550 again, and after finally realizing what happened to the front end of it (PO put the forks from an XS650 on it and bent them in to get the wheels on : ), I want to do a front end swap. Anyone on here done this? What parts did you use? I've heard that the 96 CBR600's front end fits nicely, but I've never done this before. I'm really into the idea of being able to do a dual-disc setup in front.

Check out http://www.sohc4.us/forums/index.php and do a search on front end swaps. There's a few people on the SOHC4 forums that have done it. I've seen CBR and GL1000 swaps done for CB750's, and the parts would be almost identical to do the same on a 550, with only a little machine work needed.

Yeah, I've read the threads on sohc4. A lot of those guys are getting into fabrication work that I don't trust myself to do. I'm looking for something that'll more or less bolt right up.
