'78 CB tank and seat

Thank you, but you'll just have to wait to see. Mostly because nothing else is done yet, just the tank and seat on the frame. Next week they'll come off so i can put the motor back in and start reassembly.

Looks great. Is it an F or K? This may have inspired me to add some stripes to my 77f build.

Its a K model, and as far as i've been able to find the only difference between the f and k models is the number of exhaust pipes. K's being the 4 into 4, and f being 4 into 1 (or maybe is 2, i can't remember).

FYI the K's and F's are so similar that you can change over most pieces of one bike to the other, save the side covers. The 4-1 from the F will fit the K frame but not without a bit of hardware juggling. It's doable.

Man that's wicked ! Great job on the paint. I am thinking a very similar colour scheme for my cb550 build. Also planning my attack on a custom glass seat bump..

f and K models are very different - brakes, tanks, seats, pegs, shocks, side covers, wheels, headers, mufflers, length, height, width, wheel base - all differ from the K model. The Automatic model is of course different from both the F and K in many ways.

Is the bike back together??? I am still waiting for pics!

As my dad put it, the bike in the front is mine, and the bike with the flat black paint is the one that won in the motorcycle category and neither bikes run, which in several peoples opinion is completely stupid. :-\
