I've been on DTT long enough, yet have not introduced myself or my project. so let this be my first post...
My name's Matt and i'm building a 78 Honda CB400T cafe racer.
Excuse the shitty pictures, they're from my cellphone but they'll have to do until I get a new camera ;-)
Right now, i'm basically working on getting the bike done to mock-up stage within the next 2 weeks so I can ride some more before the seasons up.
Once the winter comes, I plan on stripping her down to bare frame, and leaving no stone unturned.
So this is day one:
The first thing to go was the handlebars. Modified the stock headlight brackets to make a nice set of Tarozzi offset clip-ons fit.
Then she got naked....
since then, the tank was stripped, the pockets for the badges have been filled:
The voltage regulator and fuse box needed to be relocated, so i fabbed a removable bracket to mount under the seat:
mock-up:
the aluminum bracket and individual air filters to replace that HUGE airbox:
The rear-sets are in the process of being installed and relocating the battery is also in the works.
I'll be in the process of making my tail/seat this week...updates soon to come!
