Hey Fellas,

Since I was child I've always always been fond of automobiles. From my first car to my current one, they have always been modified in some way or another. I just can't seem to leave anything alone.

A month ago I decided to purchase a 1978 Honda CB550K. I wanted to take on a project and build a vintage bike to my personal taste with updated modern touches and technology. Some may label it a "Cafe Racer" but I prefer to call it my own.

After spending most of my free time on this board, I have learned more than I ever will... thanks to current/past contributing members of this forum. I wanted to document and share my build with you guys. Hopefully it'll come out as I'd hoped...

Ha! No green. Ipkiss is my nickname, passing it on to my bike.

Re: Project "Ipkiss"

I just went through this on my caliper, the grove that holds the o-ring, clean it REALLY well or else the o-ring will hold the piston too tightly and the front brakes will stick.

Awesome stuff BTW ;D

Re: Project "Ipkiss"

Looks great so far! Love that frame coating.
That pile of new stuff will certainly keep ya' busy for a while.
Keep up the good work, and Im looking forward to new updates.

Oh, and welcome to DTT!

Or piss brake fluid all over your nice new pads, ruining them...as in my case. Anyhow...+1 for getting that groove spotless!

Yeah, it's pretty ugly. I'll be modifying the top tree, fabricating a new bracket, and idiot lights soon.
