Hey Guys,
New to this forum, but a member at SOHC. Picked up a 78 750k a few months ago and am nearing the end of getting it road worthy. When I bought the bike, there was no headlight. I found a headlight bucket on ebay that I purchased. Went to install the headlight last weekend and realized there is no headlight retainer.
Now, this is where it seems to get tricky and I'm hoping somebody here will be able to help me out. The headlight bucket that I bought is off a 78 750F. DCC carries two headlight retainers, one through 76 and one for 79-82. CB750supply.com carries one, OEM Ref. #33101-405-671, that states it is for 69-78, but it's out of stock. This site implies that the headlight bucket was the same, but I've heard different in the SOHC forum. PartsNMore carries one for a 75-78, but it's $35 plus shipping.
I just need some help here. What years will fit? Where can I buy one that I know will fit?
