78 CB750k Wheel Sizes

braaaaaaaaaaap
So I have a 1978 CB750k with the standard 19" front wheel and the 17" wheel on the rear.

I am thinking of running 18s on the bike really trying to track down what a good size for the front and rear would be in that size. I've done so much research and searching but can't find any solid answers.

I currently found someone who has a 18x2.15 and a 18x2.50 wheel and find answers that say a 18x2.15 would work on the back but what about the 18x2.50 on the back?

With the 18x2.15 front it looks like I could run a 90/90-18 and the rear could be a 110/90-18 on a 18x2.50 rim.

Thoughts?

Rear wheels on the earlier 750s where 18". Stock rear tire size was 110/90-18 but you can go up to a 120 on the stock wheel.

Stock on the front is 19" wheel with a 100/90-19 tire.

For the rear just find an earlier bike and get the wheel. For the front you would have to buy a new 18" rim and lace it to the stock hub. As for tires you'd be best to stick with near stock sizes but keep.in mind a 100/90-18 will be shorter than a 100/90-19. If it was my bike I would just keep the wheel sizes stock and get some nice tires unless you find a screaming deal on the wheels you want. I picked up a parts bike re gently that has a 16" Harley rim laced to the Honda hub and I think I can fit a 140 on it so I think that's what I'm going to go with. Otherwise I would have just found another stock 18" for the back.
