'78 GS750 Fuel Tank

Buy the ticket, take the ride.
So, I've got a 1978 Suzuki GS750 in the garage right now that doesn't have a tank. I've been looking, and (for now) I'm not interested so much in looks as functionality and cost. Low cost, to be specific.

This is what I'm looking at right now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/300625743003?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_7494wt_952

The only part I'm not sure about is that the "valve most likely leaks from the sealing seen". My question is should I order a different valve to replace what's in it, or should I just order a seal to replace what's in the valve currently. (And, after looking at the last picture, would replacing the seal even be do-able?)

is there a reason you are looking at that tank specifically? Because I think any pre-83 GS750 tank would fit.

Depending on your actual model (gs750 "E", "L", whatever), there are different variations in the frames. Sometimes a different tank may not fit the rear mount, the seat might need "tweaked", etc. The guys on the GSR could tell you what would and would not fit. And somebody there might have an extra tank that they would sell cheaper than eBay.
