anyway, deets….

- bought from a fella who bought it as a first bike (at 8464 original miles / 13621 km) , 4 years ago from original owner, stored for 15 years, had 4K original miles then!.
- Now still has only 10,700 miles!
- original Paint is excellent, original seat is mint!
- Newish tires, lots of tread left
- Vance & Hines 4 into 1 exhaust ( 3 years old)
- tuned by 109 Cycle and they did the carb jetting and synch.
- it has a working kick starter, prime for a few minutes, and it starts on the 1st try most of the time! Vroom!
- master cylinder from a ZRX1200 for better braking performance.
- Custom Café seat (had a spare pan so . . . http://dotheton.com/index.php?topic=859.msg6081#msg6081 )
- the bike is road ready now, legal, no leans, and should pass
safety without any problems (all lights work, even has hazards, just a slight loose connection on the front right turn signal, just blinks slower, no biggy, or replace them for cheap anyway)
- coil mod: http://www.wgcarbs.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=12&Itemi d=26
- very hard to find adjustable Marzocchi shocks , PO had them completely
rebuilt. The shocks and rebuild valued at over $500.
- tank inside out is mint
- Spare fibreglass cafe seat from Glass From the Past
(http://caferacingparts.com) and is new and not yet mounted. worth about
$300 CAN for the seat. SOLD separately!
- Clubmans installed this summer, feels nice! (still have old clip ons and original bars), one bar end mirror (you can get another on the right for 40 bucks if you want/need)
- The air filter is 2 years old
- Front turn signals were changed to smaller ones but I have the original
- The carb boots were replaced 2 falls ago when the carbs were rejetted.
- The plugs and plug caps are new NGK caps installed 2 falls ago.
- NEW OEM ignition coils this summer (see the story here: http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum...ight=killarney)
- Oil changed 700miles ago (for winter, I say save the filter and just change the oil, still clean anyway, then stabil in the tank, and charge battery, and kick *** next spring!)
- Front fork oil was changed 2 springs ago.
- Seals are still great.
- Comes with original handlebars and grips
- The back wheel is a 16" mag that came on the SR model of the KZ650.
- The owners manual is included.
- All maintenance items, Kawasaki parts, carb jets, boots, etc... are
purchased from Jeff at Z1 Enterprises…. great prices, amazing service,
technical info and very fast shipping.

Re: 78 KZ 650 SR Cafe AND 86 VFR 750, both in great shape

brrrump! well, the 86 VFR sold today.

KZ's ready to rock.

Re: 78 KZ 650 SR Cafe AND 86 VFR 750, both in great shape

Jerome - I'll pass this along to my friend - he's looking for a bike and the KZ might be up his alley. I know he'd like a bigger bike (was on a 750, looking for an 1100) but the 650 would move him plenty fast.

It comes with the original seat? He'd be more into a stock look.

Re: 78 KZ 650 SR Cafe AND 86 VFR 750, both in great shape

how much for the the 3 women? Or is that considered a set of 6?

lol.

thanks tim. won't take much to bring back to stock (cafe seat, marzocchis, and clubmans off, and it's stock . . . with V& H pipes), got 2 extra bars (incl. original). in the box are the original shocks too, but i hear they're kinda soft. got the original seat, it's in mint shape and very comfy. so yeah, we'll see..

stock like this!

aspurchased.jpg

the bags went to 78Kz, i still have teh windshield, orig. bars, and wider engine guards. the PO before did this gold thin sticker around the seat as you can see, theres little bits of it around the bike, not much, but it'll come off. might notice it in the close up of the engine/forks.

thanks saucer, guess we'll see in the spring time! i'm anxious to see what it'll be like to be bikeless after 12 years of riding! lol. if and when it sells...

bumpity.

up for some short vids, just started her up the other day after toppin up the battery on the trickle charger, now she just needs a good run on the highway to run some fuel through the system and get fresh gas in it. (got the stock seat on this time)

kick start cold (2nd time bike is started after storage)

warmin up (camera mike was blocked by hand at first, which explains the funny audio)

warmed up, hi/lo beam, horn, brakes

hazard lights, turn signals, break light (hand and foot brake)

kill switch, electric start, idle

kick start warm

had to do a balancing act with the camera and throttle at the same time just to run a couple gears in the garage...:)

shanna nah nah, shanna nah nah, heeeey, goodbye! SSSSOLD! i'll miss that ol' kz!
