First post, so I figured I would throw up a few pics of the project I have going. Bringing some new life back into my ol' girl.

Progress Pic 1: stripped the tank down to bare metal, using Boeshield T-9 to protect it. Cut the old trumpets off, and went to smaller mufflers, which I high temp painted and exhaust wrapped.

Anyone have any experience putting DCC's brat upswept seat (http://www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-brat-style-chassis-seat-parts-ribbed-black-leather-wrapped-dcc-originals-large-cc-seat-dcc-bratlcc-r.html) using DCC's rear tail hoop (http://www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-racer-caferacer-chassis-seat-parts-rear-steel-hoop-section-tail-dcc-cb550750diytail.html) on a CB650 or CB750?

I love the brat look and this appears like it will fit well. Just curious if anyone has tried it, and liked the results.

I can't help with the seat info, but I'm glad to see another '79 CB650 on DTT :D

Are you looking to fit rearsets? I put superbike bars on my 650, and that lowered the front enough that I'd like to move my legs back some...

No I just used some flat black, oil based rustoleum paint (brush on type). Would love to powder coat the frame, but not enough cash for that.
