79 CB750 Wheel question (LE)

So im in a little need of help here. After an embarassing amount of hours looking into this, im hoping someone can point me in the right direction..... Complete rookie to rebuilding anything with wheels and at the moment im looking to swap the comstars off of my 79 CB750 LE for spokes, as of right now im eyeballing the same year wheels for a 79 "K" model and i know the front and rear axle diameters are the same as well as the fork diameter and length, the one thing i cant find is the fork and swingarm width so i know if there is a difference in axle width (Length?).

I wouldnt post this without searching to the best of my ability, and like i said im new to all of this, so just a nudge in the right direction or a good tip/hint to get me on the right path would be awesome!

It also appears that the upper and lower bike steering stem bearing sizes are the same for whatever that is worth. Having a hard time visualizing all items that need to be considered for this hahaha. Thank you in advance!

Edit: In the meantime i am looking at other swaps no matter the model to try and grasp all things to be considered

The KZ and KA came with comstars over here in the UK, in US and Canada you got spoke wheels. I cant find anything on the LE so presume its a cosmetic only limited edition model.

I'd be fairly confident its a straight swap. The KZ wheels will go straight into a 1980 FA Except you need to make other changes for the rear wheel disc to drum conversion.

Has the LE got a rear drum or disc? if so you need some fab work for the torque arm mount to convert to drum.

It has a drum brake, so this might be a little easier than i had initially thought, if i can find some cheap spoked wheels ill take the plunge and see what happens

So i picked up the front wheel off of ebay, but now i just need the axle/speedo sensor. i checked this link http://scandalon.com/2009/06/motorcycle-front-axle-diameter-chart/ and for the life of me cannot find the front axle diameter of a CB750K 80-82, am i just blind, only lists the 79 year, wondering if that year is different than the rest? checked 3 times over, trying to make sure that an axle is compatible with the 79 front wheel.......

All the DOHC CB750's 79-83 have the same front and rear axle diameters, cant remember off the top of my head what it is. let you tomorrow.

I dont mean they have the same diameters front and back but all models have the same axle diameters either front or back. I'm sure you know what I mean.

Thanks Notlob, i know what ya mean, you actually answered my question, i appreciate it! That makes them 15MM front, 20MM rear! So once i find a suitable back tire within those years ill snag it and figure it out from there, im thinkin the spacing might be identical which would make this a direct swap, but if not, shouldnt be TOO hard to have some spacers made up to correct any differences.
