'79 XS750 Special cafe build

So I bought my father's 79 xs750 special from him in the fall of 2016 and have been slowly building a cafe racer project out of it throughout the winter. I'm almost complete with the project expect for a few minor details here and there but I'll post before and after pictures of where I am currently

I was extremely surprised myself when I found it in a parts yard in Minneapolis for 150.00 shipped. I live in the Chicagoans area so i found myself a steal. A little bit of surface rust on the interior of the tank but a electrostatic cleaning and some caswell sealer did the trick

man if I knew you were gonna paint that tank I'd have traded you a perfect one with faded paint just to save that factory finish!
