'80 CB750k.... "Home Wrecker!"

Sorry guys, I never had the chance to get up a build thread while i was workin on her...
Picked up a 1980 CB750k and had every intention of doing a simple restoration so that i had a 2-up for the wife and I. Luckily, she knows i woulda never been happy on something with a fairing and luggage bags. So last winter i got told to build another Cafe. Damn, it felt good to be back in the game!

I still have a few bugs left to work out, and then its on to working on more HP. Here she is, my 1980 CB750, "Home Wrecker"

What i started with:

Ignore the broken speedo, its been replaced since this pic was taken

custom machined rearsets( sure comes in handy being a machinist )

dont think i could have lived with myself if i didnt replace that ugly fuse block cover. thought about just relocating it all, but this gave me a little more chance to make her my own:

yeah, my bad...been busy as hell. unfortunately i deleted most of the pics off my phone(including the infamous "tipped over in the garage pic") and this is what's left. i gottascrounge around a bit, i think i had most of them uploaded to the laptop.

Been a rash of that lately? I remember telling my buddy two-smoker that i needed to get my ass on the computer for a while and get a thread started but just never could seem to find the time....

me, you, and Todd (indisol) and a couple others I cant think of... Its too EARLY. I cant tell ya, Sometimes the P.C. adds to my productivity, and some times it de-tracks.

i know that feeling all too well.... I used tokeep the laptop out in the garage while iwas working but quit cuz i never got anything done( damn facebook!) or found that what i was doing looked like what everyone else was doing. so now i just leave it inside unless i run into a problem i cant figure out on my own...

Bike looks good dude. I'm not a fan of yeller, but cant complain about difference...

i like yellow, but actually wanted blue and white. unfortunately all my gear is black and yellow and i'm too cheap to replace a jacket and helmet that are still in great condition....

Lol I haven't worked on my bike in like forever, computer or not. At least you got this baby done! You coming down for Rockerbox August 4th? I'm going whether my bike is done or not...

I've always wanted to make rockerbox... unfortunately we have plans that weekend... buddy of mine is coming home, and we're throwing an old skool kegger...

Wow, that's a hell of a transformation. Is that the stock tank?

yeah, thats the stock tank... only thing i did to it other than paint was lop off the bottom ears where the side covers used to snap in.

as far as making more rearsets, its a possibility, but we're pretty slammed at work right now so squeezing them in may be a bit tricky...
