Been Around the Block
Ok guys, I will post a photo story of my build. Started out with a 81 CB750F in pretty good shape, strong running. Then I got my grubby paws on it. Here you go.

Got rid of the clubman bars and went with clip ons

Pulled about 80% of the sponge out of the seat and thinned it out.

And finally hear the beast roar

Hey i've seen this before....dunno where..lol (wink wink)

Good to see you over here man, I'm thinking of doing clip-ons now too on my 900

Ever been through Cedarville, CA. Saw a CB750 just like this a week or so ago...

I am in Connecticut. I like to take long rides but that is a little far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It wasn't this bike was it? Paul Dutra (Dutra Customs) rode this bad boy (his creation) from Toronto to the Pacific and back not long ago. I don't know if he was in Cedarville, but he was just about everywhere!

Ok guys. The punisher continues to evolve. I added a home made solo seat / tail piece. Had the stock swingarm extended 4 inches and braced, got rid of the horrible stock tailight and added a smal "cat eye" tail / brake light, waiting on the shocks to finish up. The lastest set up, let me know what you think!!! ;D

AWEsome work. what did you make the new tail section out of? i have an 82 750k, so im in search of ideas

Nope, wasn't that one, Tim. Wish it would've been though!

Tommygun, I made that solo seat / tailpeice out of the stock tail. I just cut and trimmed to make it fit around the new thinned out seat. I bolted the tail right to the seat pan / frame so that the seat and tail are one peice. Then I bolted a peice of plastic on the inside to fill the gap where the seat went in the stock configuration. I also tried to line up the "lines" in the side covers to match the ridge that runs along side and around the back of the tail. They look pretty much "in line" with each other and the body work sort of flows as if it where meant to be that way.

ya, im totally stealin the seat idea. thing is awesome. the previous owner did a poor job at a "boober". the rear end sits soo low. so with the seat modded like yours, the tire with fit snug underneath the rear tail. post some more pix!

No more pics to post right now. When I get the shocks mounted up this week I will post some more. There is so much room on the front end of the swingarm that I am considering going to a mono shock set up this winter.

do the swingarm, id like to know how to work that out.

I'm liking it man, especially the swingarm. And rereading the thread, I kinda came across as a dick with the whole "no wasn't that one, wish it was" comment, which was not directed at your scoot at all.

Christ...look at me, pulling some AA-twelve-step-apologize-for-everything bullshit. I must be getting soft. My apologies.
