def a vibration rattle... is the baffle wrapped or just bolted in? that may be your winner you can also toss a few more support bolts in it to help... bike looks great man!

Hey,

Great looking 650. I see you mention that you got your seat from Air-Tech, any idea which model seat you ordered from them? I"m looking to get one and if you knew the model name/number, it would be a great help.

Thanks,

Kirk

I'm very jealous :) Very nice collection. I'd love to get a DT one day.

Question about the DT's. What diameter headlight do they have? I'm looking for a smallish one for my MB5 and they look like they may be a nice size.

They are around 6.5" the DT has a 6v battery so the light has a 6v bulb also........I could probally sell you one of the parts bike if you want it?

Nice collection their... whats the story on those bars? really dig em
If you are talking about the bars on the KZ Cafe they are clubman bars I bought on ebay for around $25

Thanks for the response,

Another quick question, how did you mount your seat? I ordered the seat you mentioned but am not sure what the best approach is for mounting it on the bike. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is what I did:
Cut the frame just after the brace I was able to keep the rear inner fender that is not really visible with the side covers on the bike and keep the under side of the seat pan clean.
CIMG0006.jpg

Because the 80's KZ's have a step up cruiser style frame I welded on 4 post that are threaded to 6mm bolts
CIMG0008.jpg

The airtech seat is border line on it's thickness so to be safe I cut a seat pan for support
CIMG0004-2.jpg

The metal pan sits on the post

and the seat then gets bolted down

Hope this help's
