Hurley, you are close to the 5, not too far away. Need to get our NorCal folks together.

im like 5mins away from it actualy lol. how many of us are in this area of cali?

Hurley: Noy sure man, but I've seen a few cafe racers around Sac. Probably just need to get them to the site.

Front end dropped...
Exhaust now drags slightly when in hard lean to the right... hence the hole in the wrap, otherwise rides fine.

At some point I'll need to do something about that.

holy shit dude! How big is your right foot ??? ??? ???

That brake pedal looks a mile away from where it should be for a regular size 10 like mine ;)

Hit any bumps or potholes yet?

Looks Killer bud! I like it alot!
Have you thought about getting the exhaust out from under the bike? I think a higher exhaust would look dope and maybe gain you 3" inches or so. Then you could go with shorter shocks and lower the ass a bit ;D (although I don't think that would help handling).

Troybilt, I have indeed thought of that... I just don't know how to do exhaust pipe work. Anything you could tell me? Please educate me.

Thanks,
Jay

I don't really know man but I've wanted to do my own exhaust for a while now. I know that you can cut up a few bends and make all kinds of different bends. I'm not sure where guys pick up their bends but I know there are some talented brothrs with experience building exhaust. Hopefully someone will chime in.
I think on your bike you could run the pipes around the motor and back into the frame. That is if you have the room. Would be cool to do your own exhaust! Sorry I'm not more help

I knew I saw something that inspired me ;D. Have you seen this: http://dotheton.com/index.php?topic=11504.75

Thank you Joe.

do you have stiffer springs in your forks? if not, are you worried about them bottoming out? i like how low your front end sits, thats how i want mine to look.

lovin the build so far man.

yoRt, I'm not really worried about bottoming out and just have the original springs on. But it is something I should do as I have bottomed out going over large pot holes that seem to exist everywhere in California. If you have a good recommendation on where to get some better springs that fit these forks let me know.

Cheers

Be sure to check out the latest build thread over in Cafe Racers! It will be the same style, but much cleaner and will be up for sale once it's complete. My best friend from school and I are doing an extensive sandblasting and refinishing job on all the metal parts. I'm doing the welding myself, once I practice a bit more. I recently purchased a lincoln 135 pro off craigslist!

Just get you some cartidge emulators and run a thicker fluid in there Ronin. By the way, the bike looks tits.
