Been doing a lot of reading and people are flaming every attempt to put pods and the like on the stock carbs, and after reading, Mikuni's seem to be the answer in the VM32 size with the 450's per DCC. The question I have is has anyone used these? I hear a lot about people using them but not what sizes they are and what the stock adjustment should be. It's a little unnerving to spend ~$300 on something that I don't know will work. I have a tentative list of what I will need, would someone tell me if it's right?

List:
2 x Mikuni Round Slide VM Series Carburetor (VM32) - 32mm VM32 Pre-jetted for CB450
1 x 2-into-1 Universal throttle cable
2 x Pods
2 x Mikuni Rubber Mounting Flange ???

What size pods do I need?
Do I need the rubber mounting flange?

Too many questions. Any light that can be shed would help.

"For 450's and 500's the VM32's are the ticket in our minds. Most guys think they need VM34's because they've built their motor's with a bore-over kit and some light porting, but in the end, even with custom cams and all the gold you really don't need VM34's. Those should really only be used in custom applications where you're combing two intakes into one or doing a wild turbo setup or some other kind of forced induction.
