'82 Honda CB650 cafe'ish'thingy

Hi guys, thought I'd share a project I'm working on at the moment.

Its an 82 cb650, last month I bought it with 2 other rolling frames, 2 engines and a heap of parts, talked him down to 625 for it. Supposedly there are enough parts for 2 complete bikes, probably not, I've had my share of dealing with basket cases. But hey it was kinda cheap..

First something about me I'd guess, since I'm new to the forum.
Well I'm 17, live in the Netherlands and I'm in my last year attending a grammar school. But when I've got spare time I tinker with bikes and spend my time painting. Also how I fund my projects, I do work aside as an airbrush artist/custom painter.

Welcome. Looks like a good deal on everything you got. Which one is first and what are your plans?

Thanks! The one with the blue tank is first. Got the brakes working, putting the engine in first to see if everything works as it should. After that a new subframe, new swing arm and lowering the front a bit. I'm ditching the original tank, working on a new tank seat combo.

I'm not sure yet about the paint scheme and the airbrushing, something with pearl white and candy deep red.

Added a couple pics of some past projects, so you have an idea. (the cbr600 was for a customer, only did the paint and body work).

I love CB's. Can't wait to see how it turns out! are you planning to do a air brush design on the tank, or solid colors?

The tank and seat will definetly be airbrushed, just not sure yet what will be on it yet, I might sell this bike one day so stuff like skulls isn't very suited for that ;)
