I've read some sketchy reports about the Shorais at the AdvRider forums. Their general recommendations (due to charger difficulties, undersized amp/hours for given size, cost vs longevity, etc.) seems to be good quality AGMs instead of LiFe (and Bikemaster is not considered to be good quality - Deka, its clones or an Odyssey).M.B Co said:What went bad was my AGM BikeMaster battery, upsetting part is that I maybe rode the bike a few times with that battery. Oh well, a Shorai will be a good upgrade from the AGM.

Main signal wire from controls
Ignition power
Ground
Are you on the stock harness and controls?
Did you do a dynamic check of your ignition timing with a timing light? It is the easiest way to determine if the advancer is working properly. If not, you can remove the ignition points plate and manually rotate the points cam unit around the center bolt (only goes about a 1/4 turn or so) to see if the weights rotate out. If not, you need to carefully disassemble (read the manual) to free-up and lube. If it does move, give it a good lube since its available then reinstall points plate and set points gap.predawn sky said:yeah I was planning on using the oem connection for now, oh this is what my advancer housing looks like
