As a matter of fact it did! We were real happy to see the reaction the bike brought out of people, especially when we built the bike EXACTLY to my liking, no exceptions.
I say humble because I don't like to toot my own horn. With this bike, I never need to! This bike was so much damn fun to build and an unbelievable joy to ride. The sound and the seating position were perfect in my opinion, and make short or long rides equally enjoyable. With every day of riding full of compliments and stares, one ride per day is never enough! Honestly I can't wait to get the next one done!
Here is the link to a somewhat long winded You Tube video (sorry in advance for the introduction), if you don't care to hear me yap just fast forward to about 1 min 20 seconds.
My dad did the majority of the metalwork, my brother made the gas cap and the license plate bracket, and I did all of the "design" along with my share of cutting, welding, grinding and nearly all of the disassembly/assembly.
It was 16 gauge mild steel. No I welded a center cross bar in just below the seat pan before dad welded in the lower seat pan and the rest of the tail section. It shouldn't be too difficult to make a detachable portion, just weld some tabs and use a couple d-zeus or cam-lock fastners
