83 Nighthawk 450 rear tire further to the left

Hey guys, first time posting!

I recently bolted on a custom made fender on the back of the Nighthawk450. I then realized the tire sits half an inch closer to the left. Which makes my fender look off center. (its mounted to the frame and is centered) Any advice you guys have? First time modifying a bike and Im a bit confused, cant really see where I would make an adjustment to correct this. Ill add pictures soon, probably would be a help.

Sounds like some part is either missing or put on incorrectly, or your frame is bent. Check the spacers to make sure they are not put on the wrong sides or incorrectly. I've seen some pretty creative solutions to mounting a rear wheel

Nothing looks bent, no paint flaking off or kinks, no visible signs of anything bent I can see.

Am I missing something?

Does your chain line up...can't tell fromt he pictures...You may have the spacers reversed on the axle..

The chain looks like its a little bit crooked. I was half thinking I might have screwed up the spacers, Ill swap em.

the spacers look right per the parts fiche on bike bandit. is the tire crooked i.e. one chain tensioner screwed in more than the other. that will do the same thing.

Edit: Deacon I see you linked the fiches, the long spacer goes on the right, I think you have the axle out of alignment, loosen the bolts and make sure you are on the same marks on both sides of the swinger when you re-tighten and tension the chain.

Alignment could definitely be the issue too.....or even a bent swingarm...One arm may be higher than the other....

Measure the axle bolt from the swingarm pivot center to the axle bolt center on both sides.

Also, a pic of the bike level may help.....

The rear sprocket should be in line with the front when all is aligned.

I put the bike on the double stand and measured from the axle bolts to the floor (level floor) the swing arms not bent in that regard. I also measured from the swing arm bolts to the axle bolts, again nothings off in that sense. I used a lazer level tool and aimed a line from the triple tree bolt through the centre bolt where the tank bolts on, and across the tire. Just to double verify that its not centre. I did the same down the chain and its about 1/4 - 3/8ths out from one end to the other.

Sorry I didnt get a chance to get level photos of the bike, I will get some first thing tomorrow morning.

The chain adjusters look about the same each side.

Bike's more than likely been crashed and the rear sub-frame bent.
