Really enjoy this site so many nice bikes. This is my 83 Suzuki GR650. notice in the pictures I have no seat because the stock seat is too dam ugly. I am in the process of starting to build a seat for it.
Even if you decide to make your own seat (there's a Seats and Tanks section on here for ideas) the owner of www.RocCityCafe.com is a member on here as well. Real nice guy - he'll even throw in some pointers as well.
Hey Toasty, you made it over too! You should head over to the "member introduction" area and introduce yourself. And start up a build thread for that GR!
Any updates on your bike? I absolutley love it, I've also got one exept mine has wire wheels and isn't called a tempter (I'm in australia). I would love to see what you've done with the seat.
Yeah thanks for letting me know about dtt, I love this site! Thanks for the info too, I'm pretty sure they are the origional wheels. I'm hoping to take a week off work soon so that I can start the modifications and general tidy up, I will start a post here soon.
Yeah, there's only a few differences between the 2 models. The "X" has spoked wheels, non-air forks (oil only), and no parking light under the headlight. And paint of course. Didn't know if you knew or not.
And DTT rocks! There's so many helpful people on here.
Cheers for that Big R, I didin't know that. I dont really know that much about bikes in general yet, I've been more around tin tops (I'm actually building an austin healy sprite with a toyota 4age in it as well) so this should be a good learning curve!
