'95 Ducati SS 900 help, please?

Been Around the Block
It has already been stripped naked- there are no fairings (except for the single front fairing), and the trellis frame makes NO ROOM FOR NO STINKIN' FAIRINGS!!!!!

Seriously- while this bike is SEXY in it's fairings- there's no way it needs to be in over-expensive plastics that disguise it's inner beauty!!!!

Pics to come!!!!!!

Update- No pics as of yet, and I have a laundry list of parts she needs: The rubber thingy that holds the tank on, and an aircleaner lid. I will use an Airtech Aprilia Tuono 1000 fairing (low profile, nifty bikini fairing) and a bellypan from the retro cafe bike Ducati had made in the late '90s. This thing has had all of the aftermarket bling attached- CF fenders, engine covers, and aftermarket cans.

Do I keep the ugly yellow or paint her rattlecan flat black? That is the question...

Yellow, Red, Gloss black... That frame deserves to be anything BUT flat black.

Actually, I always thought the white-framed F1s were nice looking. Also liked the early Monsters with their platinum-colored frames. Keep us posted on which direction you choose!

please dont wait for haleys commet.lol. i already saw it once, i technicaly wont be alive next time i comes around.lol.

i think flat black is cool, but i also think ducati's look great in colors. they pull it off very nicely

The frame is factory-painted like a pewter/titanium colour. I do not have her in the garage, yet. She has a ways to go before she is home.

I have had to track down a few parts, such as the fuel tank hook, and the straps to hold the aircleaner onto the airbox. She has quite a bit of aftermarket bling, including carbon cans (no passenger pegs) and the open aircleaner mod (which is a ring that seals the airfilter to the airbox with no restriction). I just wish she had adjustable rearsets, but I don't want to spend the coin on those...

When, next month, next year, next time haley's comet comes back around?

Been waiting to see, then I may can offer you some opinion!
???

Sooner than ya think. Now, how's about a friendly picture posting tutorial for the noobie?

Otherwise, I could possibly live long enough for Haley's (or Frehley's) comet to come back around and for this bike to be a collector's bike :D. I may drink 6+ beers per day, but they keep me pickled... :p

I have no intentions of painting the frame, though I have a weak spot for white-framed F1's...

Do you really want a tutorial? If so here it goes. download your pics onto your computer. then upload them to photobucket.com I usually downsize them in paint first. then you start a reply or thread in DTT then when you are ready to add pics you open a tab or window with your photobucket account and in your photobucket account you copy the img code, when you move your cursor over the pic you wnt to copy a drop down menu will well drop down you right click and copy the img code then go back to your reply and paste it voila picture added. Dont mind my complete lack of punctuation
