Otherwise, it looks really good. I typically don't like it when the pipes snake up and exit out the bike because it seems unnecessary. But the CX engine really lends itself to this configuration, so well done!

Thanks, well I cant please everyone. Unnecessary? I could have just bolted on a set of Dunstall pipes and called it finished but what fun is that? The tire did hit once in a contruction zone over a very sharp groove in the road and thats the only time (400kms since). My shocks are also 30 years old with 90000kms on them.
If those are the ones being sold on fleabay they work very well for the money.
You can also add a spacer at the bottom to increase the length even more. I've got a set sitting here for my winter rebuild and a second set on the way for yet another project.
That's pretty sharp looking. I am digging the style.
I see only one thing so far that I would change. Have you thought about redoing the sub frame section? If you are going to brace the frame (I thought I read that earlier) you might want to ditch those huge hoops in the back and come up with a new seat/upper shock mount. Just my $.02

Thanks Eric, I never thought of that but its simple enough and would realy clean things up. Ill try it on the spare first (obviously) and if it works...I will post the pics.
