whered you relocate your electronics to... the hump?

I moved everything under the seat but away from the exhaust.

Check it out. It turned out neeter than the pic. This was the moch up.

Re: A sign of things to come :)

That looks sick, great job beast. Do you have any better pics of the rear? I'd like to see a rear shot of the exhaust.

The pipes look uneven because of the light but they are level. Im picky that way :)

Re: A sign of things to come :)

The tire won't hit the pipes on full bump?

Otherwise, it looks really good. I typically don't like it when the pipes snake up and exit out the bike because it seems unnecessary. But the CX engine really lends itself to this configuration, so well done!

Thanks, well I cant please everyone. Unnecessary? I could have just bolted on a set of Dunstall pipes and called it finished but what fun is that? The tire did hit once in a contruction zone over a very sharp groove in the road and thats the only time (400kms since). My shocks are also 30 years old with 90000kms on them.

Re: A sign of things to come :)

Can you stiffen the preload? That might help. A longer bumpo stop as well. Looks good man.

Too old and preload is all the way. It barely touched so the new shocks should do the trick.

I will be putting these on when they arrive. 1/4" longer and better adjustment.

Re: A sign of things to come :)

If those are the ones being sold on fleabay they work very well for the money.
You can also add a spacer at the bottom to increase the length even more. I've got a set sitting here for my winter rebuild and a second set on the way for yet another project.

I dig your bike man!

Re: A sign of things to come :)

yeah, some guy from the Philippenes. Good guy so far. Hope the quality is good too.

Thanks Swagg

your cx is bitchin! i love the pipes!

Thanks bro, too bad the motor is weak. I have another to throw in over the winter bored 30 over, ported and polished :)

Re: A sign of things to come :)

That's pretty sharp looking. I am digging the style.

I see only one thing so far that I would change. Have you thought about redoing the sub frame section? If you are going to brace the frame (I thought I read that earlier) you might want to ditch those huge hoops in the back and come up with a new seat/upper shock mount. Just my $.02

Anyway... very cool!

Thanks Eric, I never thought of that but its simple enough and would realy clean things up. Ill try it on the spare first (obviously) and if it works...I will post the pics.

it would look really good if it followed the same line as the pipes .. shouldn't be even remotely hard for you 'madskillz' :)
