Its gone through some changes since i built it
its a 100cc motor not a 125
that carb i would bet is a cheap clone....not my input to the bike....
paint on the engine is a yamaha spray engine paint
frame is bright side yacht paint
In my pics its the stock carb with the stock rubber cut off of the air box. they run like crap on the road with pods or short stacks. best bet is a GOOD pod not some cheap emgo crap. but dont expect the bike to run as well as honda meant it to.
the cables, brakes, fork seals, swingarm bearings, steering head bearings and tires are all new...well a few years old now...
Its running without the battery... There is a small chrome metal casing under the seat that has "Gen F Bat" but Im pretty positive its not connected. The headlight and tail light do not work right now. My next task was to get all the electronics all sorted out. I just wanted to make sure it ran alright.
You seem to have tons more knowledge than I do about this stuff, what would you recommend for a carb and bigger pod? Also is the CB100 carb a 20mm? What about velocity stacks?
You will damage charging/rec/reg parts if you run it with out the battery.
those Bat replacement things will not help.
best bet is a small LI pack.
Not 100% sure but i think the 100 uses a 20mm.
Honestly you want a 100% stock carb, and a very good pod.
Just buy a stock carb and clean the hell out of it or soda blast it. then rebuild it. a rebuilt stock carb will be way better then a clone new carb.
a larger then stock carb is a waste on a stock engine.
you want a pod that has a tuned stack inside of it.
but even then it will not be that smooth across the RPM range.
If you are interested in some bigger HP out of it I can talk some specs too.
I built that bike for myself to play with around town, and then got caught up into and idea or racing one. Ive built and owned a few so im game to help anyway i can
Like you, I'm just using the bike as a scoot around town bike. I'm not looking to get to serious. Just want to make sure I don't fuck up the engine (gas in oil issue).
I've got like cb100 carbs laying around so I'll clean them up nice nice. Got any places you can recommend for finding the pods?
As far as Lithium batter pack...Obviously I should look for a 6v?
