I am curious if people here would be interested in being able to buy a wiring harness that could replace your old worn out one. I am looking into having one made that would be very basic. Signals, lights, starter switch , and all the necessary leads for coils and charging system. Would this be something of interest to people here? What sort of price would you guys like to see it at?
I know you can buy factory replacements but they still seem to have a lot of extra
wiring that's not needed. Maybe someone here has experience with a after market one.
If so do you like it or was it a pain in the Arse?

i would love an simple after market harness.. wiring and rewiring is one of the most daunting tasks (imo) for most builders.. we all love welding, chopping, painting and styling but wiring heck no...

please please produce a universal... i would buy one fer shiz

I'd be interested if one would be available when I rebuild my single-cylinder bike.

Just need the basics, probably including turn signals.

include me too Honda CB 550K super sport 1977 ive got 2 of them need front light, rear stop, ignition, kick, turn signals did i forget something?

The goal with this harness will be to eliminate a lot of the unnecessary wires and leads that come on the factory harnesses. So in a sense these would be universal to most models. These bikes that we build are suppose to be simple and that's how I want to make the harness. The harness would basically feature the most needed items. Charging, head light, signals, ignition/key (optional), and etc. But if you have ever taken the headlight out of a Honda or other bike..(What the hell are all those wires for)??? My goal would be to use modern stuff (blade fuses) and not have to deal with cracked or cracking wires. But for those that want it to sell for under $100.00, Sorry not gonna happen if it does actually happen. They would be made here in the U.S. by people you could call and ask questions too. Not sure I can even get copper that cheap anymore:)

I am curious what are you guys doing for the harness on your bikes. Do you use the factory dried out and rotted wires? We built a harness for our bike and it was a pain in the ASS. That's what made me think of doing this.

Yeah I was just gonna pull the harness apart and rebuild it but I think you're onto something. One build specifically for certain models and updated not using bullet connections would probably be a hit.

feel you bro, the thought of having to rip out and reuse original harness is a fearful prospect... i have seen LED harnesses for sale mostly from the far east... mostly i have had to replace my wiring with shop bought wires and connectors, resistors etc etc... buying it piece by piece.

i would gladly pay good money for a one size fits all....
