AGM battery in an old ammo can.

I'm doing a build that requires me to move the battery from the "triangle". I decided to attach an old ammo can as a saddle bag and place the battery in that. Do I need to drill some holes to vent the battery? Should I think of another solution?

It's a 1974 CL360 kickstart only.

Good idea and it'll look dope. Are you going to mount it where a saddle bag would usually sit?

Can't comment about whether you should give it ventilation but you should definitely line it with some rubber or foam to remove some of the vibration.

I ended up scrapping the idea after I got it all rigged up. I didn't like the weight balancing of it. I mounted the battery lower on the swing arm. I still plan to use it as a saddle bag though. It will hang from the modded luggage rack

I think I'm done as of today. I used an old license plate as a cradle and have it tied down currently with mini bungees. I'm gonna source a rubber strap to go around it to hold it more permanently.
