Make a seperate pad, and cover it. Velcro, double sided tape, or spray adhesive.

Or, get a piece of yoga mat, cut/shape to size fit, spray adhesive, it to the glass after you cover the pad.

Best thing, IMO is, velcro. Goes on easy, comes off easy.

I picked up a camping pad (thin dense blue one) at Kmart for 9 bucks and cut it down. Worked great and really cheap.

thanks guys. but are those dense foams a bit hard on the nuts in long riding? I’m thinking of making a cafe seat and stock seat switch when desired. just need to make the mounts the same. i’ve seen foam seats on race bikes but they look like they would be hell on the jewels. thoughts?

You can get high density seat foam at JoAnn fabrics. That's what I started with and it was in fact more comfy than the camp pad, BUT it takes so much more of that stuff to work that you end up with a really high seat. And it's pretty expensive.

The other thing you might consider is one of those gel saddle pads you see advertised in the sidebar to the left from time to time. Or maybe even take a couple of gel bike seats and arrange them under some upholstery.

In the end, a good seat that is shaped right doesn't need to be super soft, it just needs to distribute pressure all across your ass.
