I went riding around downtown last night with my bud and we unknowingly rode past Delilah's. It looks like a cool venue

Friday June 19th me and the rest of the Half Fast guys are throwing a low key ride/party that you guys are all invited too.
WHAT:1st Annual CHICAGO SHAKEDOWN
WHEN: Friday June 19th 2009
WHERE:
Start: Liberty Lounge (3341 N. Western - Chicago, IL 60618)
End: Cobra Lounge (235 N. Ashland - Chicago, IL 60607)
WHY: Why Not ?
WHATS GOING ON:
6pm - Meet up @ The Liberty
7:30pm - Leave 4 ride thru Chicago's underbelly. All riders will get a map/description of the ride incase of seperation from the main pack.
? - End up @ Cobra Lounge for Cheap Beer, Fast Women, Grub, Hard Liquor, and whatever else you might feel like doing.

We are also all meeting up around noon the day of Mods Vs. Rockers at my dad's barber shop to ride into the show together.
Dad's shop is located at 2641 W. Fullerton in Chicago (across the street from the Fireside Bowl). It is literally 10-15 min from Delilahs so it
is a perfect spot to meetup.

Checking in and saying hey. My name's Adam and I'm a new '72 CL450 owner. I live out in Forest Park (10 min from the city on 290). I just picked up a non-running CL last Monday but not having any luck getting it started yet. Carbs were rebuilt prior to storage, plugs are new, and the oil is fresh too but just doesn't want to start with the kickstart. I'm gonna throw in a battery and try the electric start since kicking it isn't getting me anywhere. Hopefully I can figure something out and have it running by the time the event comes around on the 19th!

its not a lossless system.. youll need a battery to start it with the kickstart. Also the carbs being rebuilt before storage doesnt really do you much good. After sitting for however long they can get gunked up unless they were rebuilt and left completely dry.

Guess that means the batter needs to get filled and charged first thing then! Thanks.

As for the carbs, the bowls were bone dry with no residue what so ever so I don't think it's had fuel in it since they were built. A spray of carb cleaner probably wouldn't hurt though just to be on the safe side.

Just wondering, will my 450 run without a cover over the points thing? For some reason that's the only part that's missing on the bike (that I can tell) and it's all exposed.

uh.. it should run, but I wouldnt run it like that... Im sure someone has an extra cover on here, and if not there are a few salvage yards that specialize in vintage japanese bikes.. get a cover!

dig the warrior! love that bike!!!

Thanks it is a fun bike and pretty comfortable, I got rid of my RC51 a few years ago for it and don't really regret it. Don't get me wrong there are times when I miss the 51 but this thing moves for a cruiser and way more comfortable for street riding. I just go the ZX7r on the road this year(rebuilt it from a wrecked bike I bought) and its something different so the Warrior hasn't seen much seat time this year.

Great bunch of bikes ya got.
I saw you have a few CL's and figured I would ask if you might have two(2) CL 19'' drum brake front wheels lyin around u would want to part with.
If so, shoot me an email @ HalfFastJoe@aol.com ;D
