aluminium polish, first try

Pretty sure I could get the same results in less than 5 minutes for $2 at the car wash. And who shot that video? That camera work was making me dizzy. ::)

Or got to the local Harley shop on a Saturday and see some titties while my bike gets washed. I mean, IF that was my thing...

1000 grit is the MINIMUM finest grit I would recommend for sanding and polishing metal.

If a show quality finish is your goal and you don't plan on ever riding your bike, sure. But time is money and if you just want it shiny, there's little point in taking things that far.

Time isn't money when you are building a bike for yourself in the garage. An extra pack of sand paper or 2 is $5 each and takes you an extra hour to do. Plus, the finer you sand the easier it buffs back out. So when you think about it, you spend a little extra time sanding, but less time buffing. Take your pic. Just my opinion.
