I go out of my way to buy American any time I can. American Apparel T shirts, Rag & Bone jeans, Jean Shop jeans, Red Wing boots, Imperial Barber Products pomade, and I even found a sturdy leather belt at Target with those great words, "Made in USA" stamped into the backside. I started doing it on a challenge I'd accepted from a friend, and I found that the American products I was buying outlasted other products I'd buy. Now I just try to stick with it for anything I plan on keeping (no need to buy American made paper towels or paper clips, I suppose).

FYI. Most Red Wing Boots are made in China. Some models are still made in the USA, but I imagine it's just a matter of time before they're all made in asia. You can see which models are still american made on their website.

The fact that you found anything at Target American Made is quite surprising.
