Well pooey, the dang british are the only ones who carry the crank bearings and seals that i need.... gonna be about $350 usd for just bearings and seals... thats not including sending it out to have it pressed apart and then back together.... and pistons.... and cylinders bored....
Thanks tune a, but they don't cross. Suzuki decided in 76 and 77 only to put a real bastard size crank bearings on the 250. Now they are all obsolete in the states.

Oh Dang. Well you can punch some leather and rivet it to the seal flanges like the "olden" days two or three layers of bull hide will never leak if tight enough sorta like a mouses sphincter in a barn full of cats LOL!!
Well after some crank inspection I think the bearings are going to be fine. I don't like the idea of breaking two stroke apart and not replacing bearings, but they all turn very smooth and don't seem to have any slop. It will be sent out to bill bune enterprises to have it pushed apart and the center seal replaced and I will see if he thinks the bearings are ok as well. I know it doest always pay to be cheap, but I'd rather not spend 4 bills on rollers if I don't need em. Pistons are on the way (.5 mm over.)
I did clean the cases a bit. The ag industrial power program at the school I teach at has a parts cleaning dishwasher. 2 hours in hot soapy water sure beats a tooth brush. Next is soda blasting and paint.
Weather cleared, so I did a bit of soda blasting. Cases came out ok. I was gonna paint em, but this looks good enough for me. Not a perfect finish, but it is probably close to stock.
Just talked my wife into letting me put em in the dishwasher to clean out any baking soda residue haha "as long as you run it at least twice after their done" she said. Works for me.

Hey, bro, you forgot to add one critical detail: you live in a rental! You might get the wife's permission but I'll bet the landlord would give you a dirty look. ;D Wash on, wash on!
Pistons came in on a fast boat from China. I'm a little worried about the machined finish on the Pistons though. Fairly "grooved" from the lathe. Any thoughts?
you can send them off to get the skirts coated, but send them through the holes ans see if they drag. You can always put t full size green scotch bright in a rag and give em a light twist, the rings are what seals for the most part the pistons are guides and air pushers mang and the skirts are the only wear part.
Yeah, I'm gonna do that. They are kinda all around sketchy. That is not a word I like using to describe piston.. Fairly rough castings and (in my opinion... as a machinist...) bad machining.
